We are currently recruiting for an experienced External Contracts Manager to join a busy Property Care team within a leading Housing Association.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge and contractor management experience to take ownership of a major roofing programme alongside a range of externally delivered maintenance contracts including windows, doors, roofing and external works projects.

The Role

• Managing externally sourced maintenance and refurbishment contracts
• Overseeing roofing replacement programmes and specialist external works
• Ensuring contractors deliver works to agreed quality, budget and timescales
• Building strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders while driving service improvements
• Monitoring financial, contractual and compliance performance
• Managing specialist maintenance projects requiring technical expertise
• Attending sites, contractor meetings and office collaboration days across the region

About You

• Experience working within a Housing Association or social housing environment
• Strong technical understanding of property maintenance and external works
• Experience managing contractors, programmes and project delivery
• Confident challenging performance and driving continuous improvement
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Organised with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the region
